Factory AcDelco replacement fuel filter for your 3.0L Duramax Diesel.  With the new and highly complex fuel system on the 3.0L Duramax this filter will prevent damage from wear and corrosion can be avoided by filtering out dirt particles and free water suspended in the fuel. GM Recommends to change the fuel filter every 30,000 Miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. The fuel filter may need to be changed more often based on biodiesel usage or when driving in climates with excessive dust, or when off-road driving or towing a trailer for extended periods of time.
